Demonstrators for Raman Harmonisation

Objective

Implement in three industrial case studies the Raman-based harmonisation tools and procedures developed in WP2-WP5. Demonstrate the CHARISMA-enabled power of this technique across domains over the whole life cycle of NM-based products.

Methodology

Proof of Concept harmonised Raman system prototypes will be developed and evaluated at pre-industrial scale in relevant environments where the Raman fingerprints characterise a process/product: a) FNMT- RCM will develop tags with a digitalised code based on harmonised data of Raman-active documents and validate it with an alternative marker; b) ENCAPSULAE will develop correlations between active food packaging Raman fingerprint and food quality to characterise the shelf life of food by in situ delocalised Raman measurements based on the harmonisation tools. c) TOPSOE will develop a Raman-XRD correlation and provide a pilot testbed to follow and control the synthesis of catalytic nanomaterials by real-time in situ Raman. In all three industrial demonstrations the harmonised Raman data will be used for the development and evaluation of improved sustainability strategies.
